INFOKU, BLORA – The community is shocked again by the eruption of the Kesongo mud crater in Gabusan Village, Jati District, Blora Regency, Central Java.
Oro Oro Kesongo (nicknamed Kesongo mud crater) At least in the last week, there have been eruptions for three days, namely Friday, Saturday to Sunday.
"It happened three days in a row. Last night there was another eruption around 01.00, early in the morning," said Ranto as the cultivator of the Oro Oro Kesongo side land when contacted by journalists, Monday (6/2/2023).
He said that in one eruption, there are usually three eruptions with varying heights.
However, recently, the Oro Oro Kesongo eruption was about 5 meters high.
"The average duration is one minute, for not too high a height of about 5 meters," he said.
Ranto, who is also an official of Gabusan Village, explained that the eruption of the Kesongo mud crater usually occurs several times a year.
"Seasonal, two to three eruptions a year with each eruption two to three days. The cause has been determined to be natural, there is gas in it," he explained.
Fortunately, during the eruption in the past few days there were no casualties.

"There were no victims in the eruption," he said. In the video of the eruption of the Kesongo mud crater recorded by local residents, several eruptions appear to have occurred.
"Kesongo is active, bro, oh God, Gusti Kesongo is active, it's getting bigger and bigger, kae delengen kae (Kesongo is active again, oh God, it's active again, it's getting bigger, just look at that)," said the resident who recorded the seconds of the eruption. (Endah/ IST )
