INFOKU, BlORA – The Health Office (DHO) is more focused on stunting
One of them is giving blood booster tablets. However, from last year's data, the Health Office did not meet the target of 66,476 youth. Only around 56,368 teenagers were absorbed.
Head of Public Health Division (Kabid) of the Blora Health Office Diah Pusparini explained, the handling of stunting is more about prevention, the focus of specific interventions on adolescents.
Youth Posyandu has been implemented, hemoglobin (Hb) and upper arm circumference examinations have been implemented.

He explained that some of these things could affect the number of stunting in the region. As well as scheduling the consumption of blood-boosting tablets for young women.
This is because the lack of blood and nutrition in adolescents affects stunting in the regions.
"Because adolescents are anemic and KEK (chronic energy deficiency) in the future if they become pregnant they have the potential to give birth to LBW babies (low birth weight)," he explained.
If this condition has infected teenagers, when they give birth to babies that are less than the standard, namely 2.5 kilograms. So that babies with a weight less than normal weight are categorized as at risk of stunting .
So that last year, it targeted as many as 66,476 young women to consume blood booster tablets with a total of 2,931,136 tablets.
However, this target was not achieved, because young women consumed around 56,368 or only reached 84.8 percent. (Endah/ IST )
