The Quota for Women in Eight Villages Has Not Been Fulfilled


INFOKU, BLORA – The registration extension for the general election supervisory committee (panwaslu) for sub-districts or villages (PKD) in Blora was officially closed yesterday (26/1).

The Blora Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) confirmed a total of 951 applicants from the previous 891 people.

480 male and 471 female applicants. This shows that the results of the registrants are almost balanced and according to the technical guidelines (juknis).

Previously, it was extended because there were several sub-districts and villages whose applicants had not met their quota and there were no female applicants.

Blora Bawaslu member Achmad Rozak said the results of the PKD registration extension had been able to fill the empty women's quota. And the quota of registrants is less than twice the requirement.

“Yesterday's extension was carried out only once. The terms are like that. Thankfully, the quota is still fulfilled,''he explained.

Bawaslu Public Relations Anny Aisyah said, there were 50 villages that had not met the registrant quota. 38 villages of which specifically registered women.

So the Bawaslu decided to extend the registration period from 24-26 January 2023.

"The total number of registrants from the first registration period to the extension is 951 registrants. The details are 480 men or 50.5 percent and 471 women 49.5 percent," he explained.

He added, until closing there were still 1 sub-district, 8 villages the quota for female applicants had not been fulfilled.

Covering Cokrowati Village, Todanan District; Sambong Village/District; Sambonganyar Village, Ngawen District; Sambongwangan Village, Randublatung District.

As well as Kunduran Village, Cungkup Village, Sempu Village, Botoreco Village, and Ngilen Village, Kunduran District.

"We have provided village information when the registration extension was extended. Encouraging the community, especially women, to join as election supervisors,'' he concluded.  (Endah/ IST )
