Ganjar Pranowo Asks DD to Prioritize Extreme Poor Residents who are Sick


INFOKU, BLORA - The Governor of Central Java, H. Ganjar Pranowo asked Blora and Rembang to oversee, monitor and report weekly on handling poverty and stunting to the Governor.

"I also ask for optimal movement for the participation of various parties to jointly intervene in extreme poverty in their respective areas," said Governor Ganjar when chairing the Coordination Meeting on the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction in Blora and Rembang in 2023 at the Sedulur Sikep Hall, Sambongrejo, Sambong District , Blora, Friday (27/01/2023).

The Governor of Central Java said that the Regional Work Units (SKPD) were asked to carry out roles according to their main tasks and functions at the target locus in a collaborative manner.

Likewise to coordinate targeted and monitored intervention mechanisms in the village area.

Meanwhile, village heads are expected to maximize village funds and other funds according to goals and targets in a collaborative manner, and prioritize extreme poor people who are sick, elderly, live alone and have not received intervention.

"Yesterday I was ordered by the President, the acceleration of eradicating extreme poverty in 2024 must be completed. And the one who knows the data best is the village head," said Governor Ganjar.

Besides that, Ganjar appreciates the steps of Blora and Rembang which have carried out interventions to overcome the problems of poverty and stunting.

One of them is the foster father, who promotes the concept of mutual cooperation to reduce stunting.

"Interesting, the village heads in Rembang and Blora are foster fathers. You were asked how many you took care of, the answer was, I take care of two families, I take care of three families, this is a very good pattern of mutual cooperation," he said.

"So we are conveying it to the residents now to the village head, sub-district head, so that they can provide the most appropriate data so that later problems that arise in the village, both individually and in our community, can be solved together," he added. (setyorini/KOM)
