Disbursement of IDR 1 Trillion Central Funds, Karangnongko Land Acquisition Continues

INFOKU, BLORA  – The construction of the Karangnongko Weir in three regencies will be continued this year.

It is planned that Rp 1 trillion will be disbursed from the central government. The Blora Regency Government's budget is unable to predict the value of land acquisition.

It is estimated that 363.49 hectares in five villages will be inundated with water.

Blora Regent Arief Rohman said the Blora Regency Government was ready to support the national strategic project (PSN).

The Karangnongko Weir will later be used for agricultural irrigation, provision of clean water, increasing ground water, and reducing the potential for flooding in downstream areas.

However, the Regent asked for help so that the land acquisition process could be jointly guarded and properly socialized to the community.

This is because the area affected by the dam project in Blora is wider. Also more people.

"Unlike Bojonegoro, the affected areas are mostly forest areas. Meanwhile, in Blora many residential areas were affected. So that has to be taken into account,” he explained.

Five villages in Kradenan District will be affected by the inundation of the Karangnongko Weir. Includes Mendenrejo Village, Ngrawoh Village, Nginggil Village, Nglebak Village and Megeri Village.

"We asked for exact data as a basis for carrying out socialization. We will cooperate with Gorkopimda to go down together," he said.

The Regent explained that the initial calculation of the inundation area for the Blora area was 363.49 hectares.

Meanwhile, the area of the 22.58 hectare dam site is the Getas Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK) owned by UGM Yogyakarta.

Not only for Blora and Bojonegoro. If this project is successful, it will benefit Ngawi and Tuban Regencies.

As a form of synergy support for the development of the border areas of Central Java and East Java from the central government. It is estimated that this project will be funded by the central state budget of around IDR 1 trillion more. ( Endah IST )
