INFOKU, BLORA –As many as 91 points of district road sections will be downgraded to village roads.
Also combining several district road sections from 345 points to 199 points.
This clarifies development and lightens the burden on the budget.
Head of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Blora Samgautama Karnajaya said that in 2023 it is planned to downgrade a number of district roads.
And currently a draft for determining the status of regency roads in 2023 is being prepared.
"With regard to regency roads in the future, aside from the merger of several roads, there will also be a number of roads that will be downgraded to the status of village roads," he explained.
According to Samgautama, there are several road statuses in the Blora Regency area divided into five. Starting from national roads, provincial roads, regency roads, city roads and village roads.
Based on Road Decree Number 620/1059/2017 of 2017, in the area there are 345 road sections with a total length of 1,210.8 kilometers (km) spread across 16 districts. Based on the draft new decree, in 2023 several district road sections are planned to be merged.
After being merged, the number of district roads in Blora will be 199 points. Meanwhile, the roads were downgraded to become village roads with 91 road sections. Thus, the total length of the new roads will be 875.13 kilometers.

"While the district roads that were downgraded were 297.02 kilometers long," he explained.
"His party hopes that infrastructure development in Blora will be clearer and more equitable. At the same time reducing the burden on district roads.
"After being merged and downgraded , the running status and management will be clear. Do not overlap the authority of district government and village government. They can move together to build road infrastructure according to their authority," he explained. (Endah / IST )
