Former Blora Regent Moves to Gerindra, Child Remains in Nasdem

INFOKU, BLORA – It seems that differences in political choices have become commonplace in the family of the former two-term Blora Regent, Djoko Nugroho alias Kokok.

Kokok, who is currently a retired TNI, has made up his mind to join the Gerindra Party.

Meanwhile, his son, Prayogo Nugroho or who is familiarly called Yoyok, chose to remain in the Nasdem Party.

Yoyok admitted that his father's departure to the party with the Garuda bird's head symbol was not a problem that needed to be exaggerated.

Moreover, he admitted that his father had freed him to make his choice.

"If I'm released. So you're freeing me to choose whether it's at Nasdem or at Gerindra, because we're directly educated, we can decide for ourselves," Yoyok said in a statement to the media Tuesday (15/11/2022).

With the current conditions, Yoyok thinks he can even collaborate across parties.

"And I chose to stay at Nasdem, if you are at Gerindra there are also no problems, the important thing is that communication is running, and instead I can collaborate across parties with other friends, if different parties are used to it," he explained.

By joining Kokok in the Gerindra Party, Yoyok admitted that he had been invited by a number of Gerindra officials to follow in his father's footsteps.

"If my father releases me, the ones who ask me to move are friends from Gerindra. So it's not a burden for me, because my family and I are done with differences," he explained.

He considered that what was important was that the party could do a lot for the community.

"So if you want to be from any party, what's important is that we can do a lot for the people of Blora Regency and the public interest in various ways," said the member of the Central Java Provincial DPRD. (Endah/ IST )
