INFOKU, BLORA -The ceremony to commemorate Santri's Day 2022 in Blora Regency, Central Java went solemnly and smoothly led by Deputy Regent of Blora Tri Yuli Setyowati, at Blora Square, Saturday (10/22/2022).
Participants in the ceremony included representatives from various Autonomous Bodies (Banom) Nahdlatul Ulama, Islamic boarding school students, Forkopimda, leaders of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), ulama and religious leaders.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Regent of Blorta, Tri Yuli Setyowati, read a speech from the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
“My fellow students throughout the country, I am proud of. In an atmosphere of commemorating Santri Day on October 22, 2022, let us offer praise and gratitude to the presence of Allah SWT, God Almighty, may His grace, blessings, and protection always be with us all," said Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas in a speech that was read Deputy Regent of Blora.
The Minister of Religion said that President Joko Widodo through Presidential Decree No. 22 of 2015 had set October 22 as Santri Day.
The decision on October 22 refers to the issuance of the "Jihad Resolution" which contains a fatwa on the obligation to carry out jihad in order to defend Indonesia's independence.
This Jihad resolution then gave birth to the heroic event on November 10, 1945 which we commemorate as Heroes' Day.
Since it was established in 2015, we have always routinely held a commemoration of Santri Day with a different theme every year.
"For 2022, the commemoration of Santri Day has the theme Empowering to Maintain Human Dignity," said the Minister of Religion.
The purpose of the theme Empowering to Maintain Human Dignity is that historically santri have always been actively involved in every phase of Indonesia's journey.
When Indonesia called, the santri never said no. Santri with various backgrounds are ready to dedicate their lives to the nation and state.
Through this moment of the 2022 Santri Day Commemoration Ceremony, let us together pray for the heroes, especially from the ulama, kiai, and santri circles who have been martyred on the battlefield for the benefit of the nation and religion.
“May the spirits of the nation's heroes be placed in the best by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Amen. (Endah/ IST )
