Officially…The results of the construction of the Temurejo TPA were handed over to the Blora Regency Government

INFOKU, BLORA -The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) I Central Java, Directorate General of Human Settlements, handed over the results of the construction of the Temurejo Waste Final Processing Site (TPA) to the Blora Regency Government, Thursday (10/3/ 2022), at the local landfill.

The handover was carried out with the signing of an official report between the Head of Region I Working Unit of Central Java BPPW, Dwiatma Singgih Raharja Sabaris, and the Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman accompanied by a PPK official of the Sanitation Working Unit for Settlement Infrastructure I Central Java, Rhiza Chairinna Widya; and the Head of the Environmental Service (DLH) of Blora Regency, Istadi Rusmanto.

After the signing of the official report, it was followed by the handing over of food aid and gifts by the Regent Arief Rohman to the scavengers who work to sort waste every day at the Temurejo TPA. Then try to operate a dumb excavator to support waste processing.

The Head of Region I Satker of Central Java BPPW, Dwiatma Singgih Raharja Sabaris said that the Temurejo TPA in Blora Regency had been built by Central Java BPPW with a budget of Rp 12.9 billion from the 2021 State Budget with a construction period of 240 days from April 20 to December 15, 2021.

“The executor of the work is PT. Ardi Tekindo Perkasa, with outputs of landfill zone construction facilities, construction of IPL ponds, office buildings, weigh bridges, operational roads with rigid concrete, garages and heavy hangars. So now that we have completed and passed the feasibility test, we will hand it over to the Regency Government," said Singgih.

He hopes that after the TPA is managed by the Regency Government, its operational system can be well maintained. So that the age of the TPA landfill zone which is able to accommodate 70 m3 of waste per day can last a long time.

On that occasion, Regent Arief Rohman expressed his gratitude for the completion of the construction of the Temurejo TPA and thanked the Ministry of PUPR, and its staff.

"Alhamdulillah, today we officially inaugurate the handover of the results of the Temurejo TPA Construction and Heavy Equipment Procurement from the Central Java BPPW, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of PUPR. In addition to the construction of the landfill, heavy equipment such as excavators are also provided to support the operations of the landfill," he said.

In the future, Arief Rohman asked DLH as the related SKPD to be able to manage the operations of this TPA well. In addition, it will also encourage the formation of waste banks in villages, schools, Islamic boarding schools, and markets as initial sorters before being disposed of in the TPA. So that waste can also be a blessing rupiah.

“Please map out all potential waste-producing areas or institutions to be used as waste bank locations. We also hope that each sub-district has a TPS3R like the one in Blora (Purwosari) and Kedungtuban (Wado). Likewise for the arrangement of the Tambakromo TPA in Cepu District so that it can be arranged immediately," he added. (Endah/KOM)
