INFOKU, BLORA -The Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (DPUPR) of Blora will build two reservoirs in 2022. The developments are located in Jepon District and Jati District.
The Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (DPUPR) of Blora Regency, Central Java, Samgautama Karnajaya, through the Head of the Regional Water Resources Division I Surat explained that currently they are still in the stage of preparing the Operational Work Plan (RKO) to get approval from the Central Java provincial government, so that later it will be able to carry out the procurement of goods and services.
"We have carried out a pre-survey or field review between the DPUPR and the local village government to determine the location," he added, Monday (7/3/2022).
He said that the plan was to build the dams in Gedangdowo Village, Jepon District and in Jati Village, Jati District.

“DED preparation plan March - May 2022, procurement process June-July 2022, construction implementation plan August - December 2022. With budget sources from the Central Java Province Regional Budget Bankeu. Meanwhile, the budget allocation is around Rp. 750 million for the Gedangdowo reservoir, and Rp. 2 billion for the Jati reservoir," he explained.
Surat hopes that the construction of the dam will improve the welfare of the local community.
“Our hope is that with the construction of dams in these two areas, we can reduce the impact of drought and improve the welfare of the local community. The two reservoirs can later be used to fulfill raw water, irrigation water, fishery activities and can be used for the development of local tourism, so that later it can move the local economy and have an impact on the welfare of the community, "he added.
