INFOKU, BLORA –invitation to residents to obey the warning signs that have been installed on the Gabus dam, Blora City District, was conveyed by the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (DPUPR), Samgautama Karnajaya, through the Head of Region I Water Resources, Surat.
"At the edge of the weir, a warning board has been installed, we hope that residents who start fishing on the edge of the weir can still obey the warning signs that have been installed for their own safety," he explained, Saturday (19/2/2022).
In addition, irrigation OP officers in Gabus are also always on standby in anticipating flooding, whenever there is heavy rain they are always ready to operate and open the cork weir door, and are ready to clean up flood waste that is stuck at the door of the weir.

"Sepi ing pamrih, rame ing gawe, semangat tanpo sambat. This is done to ensure the safety of weir construction is well maintained, and ensure anticipation of flood control does not occur until it overflows in settlements and agricultural areas in the Kel. Mlangsen, Kel.Jetis area and Buluroto Village," explained Surat.

He also invited every villager in the upstream area of the Gabus weir such as Purworejo Village, Pelem Village and Kamolan Village not to throw garbage in the Gabus river.
"Considering that currently the rainy season is still going on with a high intensity," he said.
Thus, added Surat, we can maintain the function of the river and the Gabus dam building can be even more optimal in providing flood control services and irrigation water services for farming communities in need in the irrigation area in Gabus which includes Ex.
