INFOKU, BLORA -Avirtual coordination meeting related to Covid-19 led by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, followedby Blora Regent H. Arief Rohman and Blora Deputy Regent Tri Yuli Setyowati followed, Tuesday (11/1/ 2022) evening.
The meeting which was attended from the Blora Regent's Room was attended by Forkopimda Blora, Regional Secretary of Blora Regency, Assistant I and Assistant III of the Regional Secretary of Blora, Head of Blora Regency Health Office, along with heads of OPD and related agencies.
On this occasion Minister Luhut together with the Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin gave directions to the regions in order to deal with the Covid-19 Omicron.
Coordinating Minister Luhut said that the increase in Covid-19 cases in various parts of the world continued. Especially the case of Omicron.
"We need to be careful, Covid-19 cases in various developed countries also continue to increase," he explained.
His party also emphasized that it was possible that there could be a spike in Omicron cases in Indonesia.

However, he asked the area not to panic, but remain vigilant.
It was also conveyed that the increase in confirmed cases in Indonesia was also contributed by the presence of foreign travel agents or PPLN.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries requested that vaccinations be encouraged. In addition, it also conveyed its directions to the regions.
"Therefore, vaccination is the first key for the elderly, children and comorbid people, the second is hospital readiness, and thirdly, our health protocols really have to remind everyone," he said.
Minister of Health Budi Gunadi then presented data on the development of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia, including those related to Omicron. The Minister of Health also requested that vaccination, especially for the elderly, be accelerated so that they can be protected.

"My message, ladies and gentlemen, accelerate vaccination, especially the elderly, and teenagers plus children," he said.
The Minister of Health also asked regional heads to establish communication with the community, that the existence of this Omicron variant, the public does not need to panic but remain vigilant and careful.
"The regional head helps with strict health protocols and the use of protective care. I also ask for accelerated PCR testing. We also ask for primary booster vaccination for the elderly to be prioritized, then adolescents and children," he explained.
On that occasion, Regent H. Arief Rohman stated that to this day the Omicron variant has not been found in Blora Regency.
However, vigilance will continue to be increased in accordance with the directives of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and the Minister of Health.
“At the moment it can be said that Blora is close to normal. But with the new variant of Omicron, we must also remain vigilant. We must continue to apply health protocols. We also continue to carry out vaccinations," he said . ( Endah/KOM )
