INFOKU, BLORA -The Traffic Unit, (Satlantas) of the Blora Police, the Central Java Police, assisted by the Joint Functions of the Blora Police, held a Brong exhaust raid, Saturday (15/1/2022).
The raid, led by Head of Traffic Unit AKP Edi Sukamto, managed to take action against 182 violations.
With details of 130 Brong exhaust violations and 52 other traffic violations that can lead to fatal accidents.
Head of Traffic AKP Edi Sukamto said that the number of motorized vehicles confiscated was 144 motorcycles.
The former Kasat Sabhara Polres Klaten revealed that the raid was carried out due to complaints from the public who felt uncomfortable with the rise of vehicles using Brong exhaust.
"This Brong exhaust raid is the attention of the Central Java Police Chief to realize the Brong Central Java Zero exhaust. In order to follow up on the number of complaints from the public who complained that motorcyclists were using Brong exhaust which caused noise and inconvenience to residents," said AKP Edi Sukamto.
AKP Edi further explained that the raids were held at two strategic points that are usually passed by vehicle users with Brong exhaust, namely the Pancasila Monument Roundabout and in front of the Blora Police Satlantas Office.
This Brong exhaust raid, continued AKP Edi, aims to regulate the use of vehicles, especially two-wheeled motor vehicles.
For people who were hit by the Brong exhaust raid and their vehicle was confiscated at the Blora Police Traffic Unit, they can take the vehicle. However, there are some requirements that must be met.

"Motorcycle owners are allowed to take their vehicles on condition that they must replace the Brong exhaust with a standard exhaust after the trial," explained AKP Edi.
AKP Edi hopes that the public will always comply with traffic regulations, including not replacing the standard exhaust with a bronchus. In addition to disturbing other road users and the community around the location, the Brong exhaust also violates Article 285 paragraph 1 of the traffic and road transportation law.
The Head of Traffic also advised the road users to continue to obey traffic rules. That way can reduce the number of traffic accidents on the highway. (Endah/POL)
