Head of Blora Market Examined by Police, Efforts to Investigate Alleged Extortion under the guise of Security Fee

 INFOKU, BLORA -A total of 16 people have been questioned by the police regarding allegations of illegal levies (extortion) at the Sido Makmur Blora People's Market.

Head of the Blora Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim), Adjunct Commissioner of Police (AKP) Setiyanto said the dozens of people were being investigated to investigate cases of alleged extortion in the market.

"16 witnesses from a number of professions, but what is certain is that we have clarified the witnesses in the market, including the head of the market, we have asked for information," said Setiyanto, Friday (21/1/2022).

Not only examining witnesses, the police have also routinely patrolled the area to prevent illegal levies.

"Traders, if, for example, something happens that doesn't match what market partners have implemented, we welcome them, openly," he said.

His party also allowed the public to report allegations of illegal levies that occurred at the Blora Sido Makmur People's Market.

"Of course, if you want to report to us, you have to provide evidence so that the impression is not slanderous, so the evidence is sufficient and we will develop it later," he explained.

For your information, the alleged extortion at the Blora Sido Makmur People's Market began with a leaflet about security fees for traders.
