INFOKU, BLORA –Based on the data on the coverage of National Health Insurance (JKN) participants in Blora Regency, it has almost reached one hundred percent, but major problems still loom.
It turns out that as many as 43,296 JKN Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) are recorded as inactive, potentially hindering underprivileged people from accessing health services.
Head of BPJS Kesehatan Blora, Mulianto, told the press that based on data as of June 30, 2026, JKN participation in Blora had reached 97.36 percent or 905,931 people out of a total population of 930,449.
However, of that number, only 662,973 people or 71.25 percent are still active participants.
"Participant engagement remains a shared challenge. Of the 16 sub-districts in Blora, only Banjarejo, Kradenan, and Cepu have achieved engagement rates above 75 percent," he said.
BPJS Kesehatan noted that from February to July 2026, an additional 6,331 PBI JKN participants became active again.
However, the number of PBI participants who are not yet active still reaches 43,296 people.
So it needs to be handled immediately so that entitled citizens do not lose their health insurance.
Efforts of the Regent of Blora
Meanwhile, Blora Regent Arief Rohman assessed that the large number of inactive PBI JKN participants was the impact of the update of the National Socioeconomic Single Data (DTSEN).
Therefore, he asked all relevant OPDs to move quickly to verify and validate data on poor people.
"Data changes through DTSEN must be synchronized immediately. We must ensure that people who actually qualify lose their right to health insurance due to administrative issues," he explained.
Arief also requested that data collection be carried out more accurately by involving all stakeholders.
According to him, the issue of welfare deciles must be given serious attention, so that the determination of aid recipients is truly on target.
"We want to continue strengthening coordination with the central government so that data updates can be processed quickly and eligible individuals can be reactivated as PBI JKN participants," he said.
In addition to accelerating data updates, the Blora Regency Government will also evaluate the mechanism for issuing Certificates of Poverty (SKTM).
This step was taken to ensure that health assistance is only received by residents who truly meet the criteria.
"Don't let aid go to the wrong people. Those who are truly deserving must have their health rights guaranteed. Meanwhile, those who are already well-off should no longer be included as recipients of aid," he said.
"If any village officials intentionally divert or manipulate data, we will not hesitate to issue a firm warning," he stressed. (Endah/ IST )
