INFOKU, BLORA -A student at SMPN 1 Blora was a victim of bullying and suffered a wound on his lip.
One of the perpetrators is suspected to be the son of a member of the Blora DPRD.
Blora community leader Danu Sukoco told the press that the alleged bullying occurred twice, namely on Friday and Saturday in early August 2026.
According to Danu, before the beating, the victim had experienced an incident that made him feel like he was the target of his friends' pranks.
The victim was said to have been trapped using a dipper filled with water placed above the door.

Feeling treated this way, the victim then did the same thing.
However, the victim reportedly did not know who ended up falling into the trap.
"After that, on Friday, the victim was beaten. The next day, his friends looked for him again, then he was beaten and kicked again," said Danu.
Danu said, based on the information he received, one of the students suspected of being involved was said to be the leader of a group or gang in the school environment.
As a result of the incident, the victim suffered cuts and bruises. Her lip reportedly required stitches.
The victim was then taken to DKT Hospital to receive treatment and medication.
Danu regretted the alleged lack of supervision in the school environment.
Moreover, the incident is said to have occurred more than once.
"If schoolchildren fight, is that acceptable? Schools should be able to supervise. Teachers, security, the principal, and the guidance counselor must be aware of the children's behavior and condition," he stressed.
He also highlighted the response of one of the parents of a student who was said to be a member of the DPRD, the parent initially considered the problem as an ordinary argument between students.
Danu believes that the position of a council member should enable parents to set an example in dealing with issues involving children.
"What we regret is that the school should have known about the first incident. Moreover, the assault reportedly happened again the next day. How was the oversight conducted?" he said.
Danu hopes that this issue will become an evaluation of the bullying monitoring and prevention system in schools.
The case has also been reported to the Blora Police.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Blora Regency Education Office, Sunaryo, confirmed that there were students who were beaten by their school friends.
He asked the school to study the chronology in its entirety and prioritize an approach to both parties.
"Yesterday, I asked the teachers to come to the victim's house and meet with the parents to convey the actual chronology of the case so that the information provided is balanced," he explained to the press.
The Education Department together with the Social Services Department have also visited the victim's house.
His party also coordinated with the school and students suspected of being involved to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
Sunaryo said that his party continues to monitor the reports that have been submitted to the Blora Police.
If the legal process requires the presence of children, the Department of Education will coordinate with the school.
"This is a child's age, so we must be careful not to cause trauma. We hope this matter doesn't escalate to legal action if it can still be resolved amicably," he said.
According to Sunaryo, schools have been equipped with a safe and comfortable school culture program through working groups (Pokja). However, bullying remains a challenge in the education sector.

"Teachers must be extra careful. Many factors influence children today, including the digital world. Supervision must be increased," he stressed.
Regarding the number of students involved, Sunaryo admitted that he did not know for sure.
However, some students have admitted to beatings and kicks.
"We will continue to monitor this issue to ensure it doesn't disrupt the teaching and learning process," he concluded.
