Acting Head of Health Services and Resources (PSDK) of the Blora Health Office, Diah Pusparini, explained to the press that the inspection was carried out together with a joint team to review the quality of food at Sido Makmur Market .
"Currently, we are taking eleven food samples," he explained.
Diah said that after taking the samples, his team immediately carried out laboratory checks.
Officers found borax at one of the vendors, which should not be sold.
Of the eleven samples examined, officers found product samples containing formalin .
"Only dried squid contains formalin, and the gendar crackers were positive for UV light monitoring, but the level was only 0.5, and the result was negative," he said.
He further said that he would follow up on traders and distributors who sell food containing formalin.
"We have noted the names of the traders and distributors, and we will hand them over to the police for sanctions," he added.
He appealed to the public to avoid foods containing formalin.

"It may not be noticeable for a day or two, but the long-term impact and its impact on health can lead to cancer and other diseases," he said.
Apart from Sido Makmur Market, he continued, the spot checks will also target a number of shopping points in Blora Regency.
