INFOKU, BLORA -Blora Regent Arief Rohman asked officials and all ASN in the Blora Regency Government to be wiser in using social media.
The Regent firmly asked them not to show off and flaunt their luxury on social media, but to instead publicize their performance.
This was conveyed during the coordination meeting for Operational Control of Activities (POK) of the Blora Regency Government, Wednesday (10/9/2025) in the Regional Secretariat Meeting Room.
Present were the Deputy Regent of Blora, Hj. Sri Setyorini, the Regional Secretary, Assistants, Expert Staff to the Regent, and all Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and sub-district heads.
"The Minister of Home Affairs yesterday advised officials and their families not to flaunt their luxuries, including on social media. We urge you to pay close attention to this," Regent Arief emphasized.
It was stated that ASN must have sensitivity and empathy towards the conditions of society, because ASN carries the mandate to work to serve the people.
"The bottom line is that when posting anything on social media, whether it's a status or something similar, and when responding to it, you must be wise. Use polite and low-profile language," he added.
For this reason, he asked that OPD heads and their staff utilize social media to publish and report their performance.
"Please display and report your performance to the public, including through social media, to local government agencies (OPD), sub-district heads, and others, so the public can understand what we are doing," he explained.
He gave an example, he and the Deputy Regent, in every activity also report programs and activities via social media.
"We ask that OPDs balance this out," he added.
Furthermore, the Regent also requested that all OPDs and the units under them filter and check the content that will be posted on their social media.
"If you want to upload something on social media, your superiors must know. Leaders also shouldn't be indifferent to their admins, including large OPDs like the education department and its schools, the health department and hospitals, and so on," he said.

Dua also reminded all OPD Heads when traveling outside the region to comply with existing mechanisms.
"I also have a message for you, in the future, to please inform us if any OPD heads travel out of town, abroad, or otherwise, to use the existing mechanisms," he concluded. (Setyorini)
