INFOKU, BLORA – The Blora Regency Government plans to apply for a regional loan of IDR 215 billion to repair 41 damaged roads.
Blora Regent Arief Rohman targets the selection of banking institutions that will distribute loans to be completed in early May 2025.
"The target is to complete the selection process by early May. After that, we will auction it directly, so that the target is to start working in June or July," said Arief to the press on Tuesday (4/29/2025).
Currently, the District Government is selecting two potential lenders, namely PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) and Bank Jateng (BPD), through a beauty contest process.
"There has to be an explanation, we will take the one with the lowest interest, which is the most profitable for Blora," he explained.
Paid Off in 3 Years
This loan plan was taken as an accelerated step to answer the urgent need for road infrastructure repairs, which the public has been complaining about.
The repayment of the Rp 215 billion loan is targeted to be completed within three years.
Still in the Comparison Stage of Options Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Blora DPRD, Mustopa, confirmed that the loan application process is still in the comparison stage between financial institutions.
"Not fixed yet, still looking for comparison. Between SMI and BPD (Bank Jateng)," said Mustopa when contacted by reporters on Wednesday (4/30/2025).
He also ensured that the development project had begun to be processed technically by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR).
"It's already in the planning process at the PU department," he added.
Previously, residents of three villages in Jiken District, Blora, namely Nglebur, Janjang, and Bleboh Villages, held a protest by planting hundreds of banana trees on the damaged road along approximately 3.2 kilometers connecting the villages.
This action was carried out on Wednesday (2/4/2025), as a form of disappointment towards the government which has not repaired the road.
There were also sarcastic writings on the road, such as:
"The People's Voice is Only Valid During the Election Process", "Your Promises Are Not as Sweet as Your Talk", and "Where Are the Road Repair Funds, Lee?"
Blora Regency Government Finally Repairs the Road In response to the action, the Blora Regency Government immediately deployed 20 trucks of soil to cover the holes in the road.
