Stepmother Sentenced to 1.5 Years in Child Custody Battle

INFOKU, BLORA –A woman named Afrida Mahyeni Nasution, Bambang Lukito's wife, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months (1.5 years), because she was accusedof abusingstepdaughter .

In fact, in  the trial , the witness's testimony was contradictory.

And,  the results of the post-mortem examination  were allegedly manipulated to the point of being unreasonable.

Bambang Lukito was initially married to his first wife of  Indian descent , living in  Solo .

Until he had three children, but his first wife died.

So, he remarried Afrida Mahyeni Nasution.

Unfortunately, Bambang's former brother-in-law, who is also of Indian descent, is trying to seize  custody  of the three children.

By filing a lawsuit at  the Sleman Religious Court  ( PA )  in 2023.

As a result, the custody lawsuit was won by Bambang as the biological father.

"After the custody lawsuit at the Sleman PA was rejected, there was only one other way for them to still be able to control the children. That is, to incite and bring the children to reject their biological father and stepmother. To the point of  engineering  the case  as if I had committed violence against the children," explained Afrida Mahyeni Nasution to  reporters  after the verdict hearing at the Blora District Court (PN), Thursday (11/21).

Until finally, Afrida was reported many times, the first in Solo which ended peacefully.

Then, in Sleman, it resulted in the determination of a suspect and made Bambang Lukito's wife languish in prison in early 2024, for one year on suspicion of beating her eldest stepson with a broom.

Before completing her detention period, Afrida was reported again to the Blora Police.

This time, the alleged violence involved swinging a cellphone charger cable  at his second stepchild.

This case then continued until the panel of judges  at the Blora District Court  sentenced him to 1.5 years in prison.

"I have never committed the alleged violent act. The alleged incident occurred on March 28, 2023 at 17:00 WIB. In fact, at the same time I was cooking for breaking the fast together at the prayer room. There is authentic evidence of  my chat  with my husband including the time. However, the panel did not acknowledge it," he said.

In addition, according to her, the alleged injuries occurred when her children were with her husband's in-laws.
