INFOKU, BLORA - From the results of a surprise inspection atMarket ,the Food, Agriculture, Fisheries andAnimal Husbandryfound dangerous substancesin tests on 25.
One of them contains dangerous substances , namely dried squid containing formalin.
Traders who are proven to be selling this will be given guidance and asked to stop selling squid containing preservatives .

Head of Food Division DP-4 Blora Nugraheni Wahyu Utami said, according to the results of a surprise inspection at Sidomakmur Market, officers have taken samples of 25 types of food sold by traders. Including chicken, fish, shrimp, shellfish, anchovies, squid, tofu, meatballs and salted fish.
"From the total food samples taken, there was one type of food in the form of dried squid that contained the dangerous substance formalin ," he said.
He explained that the test parameters for the formalin content of dried squid were 2 mg/liter.
The test results are out and have been declared positive for containing hazardous chemicals .
After that, they carried out coaching.
"We also ask that buyers not sell dried squid (which contains formalin)," he stressed.
He also explained that the supply of dried squid commodities containing formalin sold by traders came from Rembang Regency.
Meanwhile, 24 other samples tested simultaneously were declared not to contain hazardous chemicals.
"For example, other types of food are safe and do not contain any hazardous materials," he said.
Nugraheni added that food monitoring activities are carried out routinely every month.

This is done so that the food consumed by the public is truly safe and does not carry the potential for disease .
