INFOKU, BLORA -A brief history of Adi Sumarmo Wirjokusumo was read during the flag ceremony to commemorate Heroes' Day 2024 in the yard of the Blora Regency Regional Secretariat Office, Monday (11/11/2024).
Acting Regent of Blora, Tri Yuli Setyowati, led the ceremony which was held to commemorate the 60th National Health Day in 2024.
This is a brief history of the local son of Blora, Adi Sumarmo Wirjokusumo, whose name is immortalized as the name of the international airport in Boyolali Solo Raya.
Born in Jati District, Blora. He died in a flight mission carrying medicines from India with Heroes Adi Sucipto and Abdur Rohman Sholeh in 1947.

The three died after their plane was shot down by the Dutch in Ngoto Hamlet, Bantul, Yogyakarta.
For their services, the Indonesian Government designated Adi Sucipto and Abdur Rohman Sholeh as National Heroes, while Adi Sumarmo's name was immortalized as the name of an airport in Solo Raya.
On that occasion, the Acting Regent of Blora also read out the mandate from the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs and the Indonesian Minister of Health.
In this message, it was stated that the nation's future challenge is to maintain the sovereignty and progress of the Republic of Indonesia, with the entire community as its fighters.
"We agree that the challenge ahead is the Republic of Indonesia for the future, our shared home until the end of our lives. Everyone has the opportunity to fight to maintain and build the progress of the Republic of Indonesia. Never tire of doing your best to emulate and inherit the values of heroism," he said.
In addition, the Acting Regent also emphasized the importance of maintaining health as capital towards Golden Indonesia 2045. The 60th National Health Day carries the theme "Move Together, Healthy Together," which reflects a shared commitment to utilizing the momentum of the demographic bonus, to achieve Indonesia's target as a high-income country by 2045.
After the flag ceremony in the yard of the Blora Regional Secretariat Office, the event continued with a pilgrimage to the Wira Bhakti Blora Heroes Cemetery, as a form of respect for the heroes who died fighting for Indonesian independence.

Present were the ranks of the Blora Forkopimda, members of the Blora LVRI, Heads of OPD), TNI/POLRI, ASN, representatives of the Nurses Association, the Indonesian Radiographers Association (PARI), the Family Hope Program (PKH), Poltekkes students, and high school and junior high school students.
