INFOKU,BLORA -The 117th anniversary of Samin Surosentiko's struggle was held at Pendopo Pengayoman Samin Surosentiko, Ploso Kediren Village, Randublatung District, Friday 15 March 2024 evening.
The Regent of Blora, Central Java, Arief Rohman asked that the commemoration of Samin Surosentiko's struggle be made an annual agenda.
He hopes that the struggle of the figure from Blora will not only be known in Indonesia, but will even go global.
“Ask for support from the central government so that next year it can be implemented again. "We are organizing activities so that Samin can go global, not just be known in Indonesia," said the Regent of Blora.
The Regent appreciated Sedulur Sikep, a follower of Samin Surosentiko who had held a commemoration event which this time was attended by representatives of the Directorate General of Culture, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
This year's commemoration of Samin Surosentiko's struggle carries the theme 'Fair Lelaku Jejeke' and is enlivened with a torch relay or Brokohan.

The Blora Regency Government, he emphasized, will continue to support all forms of cultural activities.
Moreover, preserving the values taught by the struggle of our ancestors, especially Samin Surosentiko.
It is hoped that Samin Surosentiko's teachings, known as Saminism, can be taught in schools.

Moreover, it has been named Indonesia's intangible cultural heritage.
“I also encourage Samin's teachings to be written down. If it is written down, it will enrich the treasures of our students. Let school children know. "As local content, we can preserve Samin Surosentiko's teachings," he said.
Regarding the establishment of the Samin Surosentiko Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Randublatung, according to the Regent of Blora, it is a form of appreciation for Samin Surosentiko's struggle.

"It's all in memory of his struggle and Randublatung is his birthplace. Hopefully this all inspires. "Thank you, Rahayu, fresh and sane," explained the Regent.
Apart from carrying the torch on foot for approximately one kilometer from SD Negeri Kediren to Pendopo Pengayoman Samin Surosentiko, Ploso Kediren, the parade participants also brought agricultural products from Sedulur Sikep. (Setyorini/ IST )
