Blora Police Thwart Sweeping Action, Secure 32 Youths & Confiscate Various Sajam


INFOKU, BLORA  About 32 youths were taken to the Blora Police Headquarters and questioned.

Evidence of various sharp weapons (sajam) was confiscated from youths about to sweep after a provocation occurred.

Kasatreskrim Blora Police AKP Supriyono said he brought 32 youths on patrol in the Japah area on Thursday night (30/3). Found a variety of sharp weapons.

"It turned out that on the motorbike we found sharp weapons in the form of two samurai, a cleaver, a bayonet and a hammer," he said yesterday (31/3).

Supriyono explained, The failure of this sweeping prevented bigger actions. He said he received information that a youth group was planning to follow the action.

"We also received information from group sympathizers that they would also follow up to support sweeping in the Japah District area," he explained in his press statement.

According to him, the sweeping action with sharp weapons was triggered by someone's status on social media. Conversation ridiculing one of the martial arts colleges.

“There was a miss, so they were provoked. Then they carried out a sweeping agreement and looked for someone to make that status," he said.

Yesterday (31/3) the youth's parents were brought to the Blora Police.

"We summon each parent, then we will carry out mediation or coaching," he explained.

Supriyono explained, when he was at the location, around 60 youths were involved. Due to the limited number of members at the location at that time, around 32 youths were brought to the police.
