INFOKU, BLORA - The police immediately took swift action to hunt down the perpetrators who dumped the babies in the rice field irrigation canals, in Blora Regency.
The baby girl was found dead by children who were looking for fish in the rice field irrigation canal in Buluroto Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency, on Tuesday (4/4/2023).
"If information about the parents of the baby has not been obtained, it is still under investigation," said Blora Police Criminal Investigation Unit KBO Iptu Suhari when met by reporters on Tuesday (4/4/2023) evening.
His party explained that based on the results of the autopsy by the Central Java Regional Police DVI team, there were pressure marks on the face of the dead baby.
"The results of the autopsy conducted by the Central Java Regional Police forensic team, while with the conclusion, the baby is female and the baby was born only one day," he said.
Previously it was reported, the discovery of a baby's corpse was first noticed by children who were engrossed in fishing in the rice field irrigation canal in Buluroto Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency, on Tuesday (4/4/2023).
In fact, the children thought that the baby's body was a doll floating with the current of the irrigation canal.
After it was discovered that it was a baby's body, the residents who were shocked then reported it to the police.
