The art performance of SMPN 6 Blora was quite stunning. The art exhibition from February 26 to yesterday (2/3) featured around 50 art performances carried by all grade 9 students consisting of 8 study groups (groups). The theme of the appearance varies.

"I feel relieved and happy. In addition to increasing interest in art, they also learn to cooperate in the production of art performances,'' he explained.
Mundari, an art and culture teacher at SMPN 6 Blora, said that performing arts is a way to inspire students to do art and to preserve local culture.
The art performances were dominated by traditional arts such as Barongan Blora, Malay Zapin Dance, Jaranan, Ketoprak, and Balinese Kecak Dance.
Also musical plays, poetry, and speeches. The art performance is part of the needs assessment for grade 9 students at SMPN 6 Blora. Each class presents 6 or more art performances in rotation according to a determined schedule per day.
According to him, performing arts does not only increase the attractiveness of art to students.
Also, honing teamwork skills in the staging production process.
“Art shows are not only about creativity. Also the process of maturing students. There is a conflict that can become a problem to be solved through teamwork,''he explained.
The head of SMPN 6 Blora Sopyan said that his school is synonymous with dance.
SMPN 6 won 1st place at the Blora 2022 National Student Art Festival and Competition (FLS2N). He also excelled in music.
Won 2nd place in FLS2N Blora Regency in the category of traditional music consecutively in 2021 and 2022.

As well as, achievement in the field of language. The junior high school won 1st place in the Mapsi competition (Islamic Subjects and Arts) at the district level. 2nd place in the same competition but at the Central Java Province level in the men's speech category in 2022.
