Kartini, one of the producers who complained about the impact of this increase. Although raw materials soared, he chose not to stop producing. At his house in Purworejo Village, Blora Sub-district, there is still tempe-making activity.
In the kitchen there is a bucket of soaked soybeans. On the other side, half-cooked tempeh is also lined up. Wrapped in plastic the size of a quarter kilogram.

“Soybean is boiled until it expands. Minimum boiling 8 hours. In the morning boiled again. Then drained until solid. When it's cold, it will be given yeast. If it's not cold, you can't," he explained.

This production has an impact after the soybean price increases. He admits to being nervous.
This is because the tempeh he produces is marketed in the village. I want to increase the price, but I can't. Because, according to him, there can be complaints from consumers if the price goes up. "For village people, it is difficult to raise (the price)," he said.

Usually he buys a bag of soybeans containing 50 kilograms. Previously, it was at a price of Rp. 500 thousand. Now it reaches Rp. 555 thousand.
