INFOKU, BLORA -Sudarto, the village head of Nglebak, admitted that he was a prospective passenger who opened the emergency door of the Citilink plane on the Jakarta - Blora route, which caused the plane to cancel its flight.
The incident began when he was asked to change seats by the flight attendant.
At that time he accidentally opened the emergency door which he thought was like a bus door. Understandably, Sudarto was confused because this was his first time using air transportation
After the failed flight incident, Sudarto was ready to take responsibility and apologize to the other prospective passengers, who incidentally were village heads in three sub-districts in Blora Regency.
"I immediately texted my friends, sorry for not flying, if I said that I was sincere, because this includes disturbing the comfort of the village head friends, later I will be ready if you say you feel I'm disappointed, I'm ready for everything," said Sudarto time, Tuesday (12/21/2021).
However, other prospective passengers understand Sudarto's behavior. Thus, the village heads did not want to make a fuss about their failure to return to Blora by airplane.
"Then finally all of my friends came out, 'No, Mbah, the important thing is that all of this is safe, this togetherness is good, and it means that the bitterness is shared,'" he said.
After failing to fly, the prospective passengers were then diverted to use other modes of transportation.
Meanwhile, Sudarto chose to return to Blora via land transportation using a bus.
According to him, the incident of opening the emergency door which caused all passengers to fail to fly was a valuable experience for him.
"Yes, for me, this experience has its sadness, it has a price. Because our village is very remote, hopefully with the inclusion of the media, I hope that there will be attention. For me, hopefully, this technical guidance (technical guidance in Jakarta) in batch 5 will bring blessings, friends can feel sad and comfortable, hopefully they can get a positive response from the top party," he explained.
For your information, Citilink's flight from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to Ngloram Blora Airport on Monday (12/20/2021) failed to fly because the emergency door was opened.
