INFOKU, BLORA -The increasing intensity of rain causes the volume of water in rivers and dams in Blora to rise. Usually, children use it to play or swim.
It is customary for small children to always play or bathe in rivers or ponds without supervision, inviting dangerous risks.
In fact, some time ago in the Randublatung sub-district there were already victims of drowning children.
To anticipate this, Blora Police Chief AKBP Wiraga Dimas Tama empowered his members, especially Bhabinkamtibmas, to be diligent in conducting dialogical patrols to the targeted areas.
One of them carries a mission to remind residents to be more careful when in rivers or dams and to supervise their children.
As was done by Bhabinkamtibmas of Japanrejo Village Brigadier Dany Sukoco, Monday, (12/20/2021).
He visited his fostered village to remind residents to supervise parents and remind children to be careful when bathing or swimming in rivers and ponds.
"We remind residents to be careful when bathing, especially small children. Usually they even swim. That's where the vulnerability of drowning victims arises, if there are no adults to supervise," said Bhabinkamtibmas.
He said that during the rainy season like this, the children in the village used it to bathe or swim in the dam.
"It has become a habit for children to bathe in rivers or dams. We hope that nothing will happen. But to anticipate unwanted events, we better be careful. And parents don't forget to supervise their children," explained Bhabinkamtibmas .
Blora Police Chief AKP Yuliyanto conveyed that what Brigadier Dany had done was correct.
Where as Bhabinkamtibmas actively visits the target area. And nowadays, one of the vulnerabilities during the rainy season is drowning.
"It is appropriate and we must support it. Of course as Bhabinkamtibmas we must be diligent and remind the safety of its citizens," said the Blora Police Chief. (Setyorini/POL)
